Lauren Gibaldi is an American author of young adult fiction and a librarian. She won the Florida Book Award for her 2016 novel Autofocus[1].[citation needed]
Career[edit]
Gibaldi's debut novel The Night We Said Yes, was published by HarperTeen in 2015.[2].
Gibaldi's second novel, Autofocus, was published by HarperTeen in 2016 and won the Florida Book Award Silver Medal in 2017[3].[citation needed] Her third and most recent novel, This Tiny Perfect World was published by HarperTeen in 2017[4].[citation needed]
Her anthologies, co-edited with Eric Smith, were published in 2021 and 2023 respectively with Candlewick Press. This includes Battle of the Bands, which featured Motion City Soundtrack singer Justin Courtney Pierre, and was a National Education Association Read Across America selection[5], and First-Year Orientation, featuring actress and author Dana Davis[6].[citation needed]
