Lauren Strock is a Latvian-American painter based in Bronxville, New York. Her work integrates themes of nature, light, and cultural heritage, most notably in her ongoing Roots of Baltic Spirit series.[1]

Early life and education

Strock was born in Latvia and later moved to the United States.[2] She originally worked in the medical field before pursuing formal education in art. Strock earned a BA in Liberal Arts in New York and an MA in Art History in England.[3]

Career

Strock works across oil, watercolor, acrylic, and digital media.[2] Her paintings often depict landscapes, cityscapes, and cultural motifs. The Roots of Baltic Spirit series reflects her Latvian heritage and themes of resilience.[3]

Exhibitions and collections

Strock has exhibited in New York and internationally, including Milan, Rome, and Florence.[3] In August 2025, she was one of the featured artists in the Another World exhibition at Galería Azur New York.[4] Her works are held in private collections in Switzerland, Italy, Vietnam, and the United States.[3]

Community recognition

In 2025, Strock donated a watercolor painting of the Bronxville Women’s Club building for its centennial celebration.[1]
