Lauren Zima
Lauren Zima is a host, producer, actress and reporter, currently appearing on and producing for Entertainment Tonight and ETonline.[1]. While at ET, she's interviewed Ben Affleck[2], Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, Jane Fonda, Matt Damon, Reese Witherspoon[3], Nicole Kidman[4], Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez,Gwen Stefani and many more[5],[6] [7]and covered the Academy Awards and the Emmys.
She previously worked as a host and the Creative Director (and formerly Managing Editor) at Newsy[8], seeing the company through its acquisition by E.W. Scripps before being hired by Entertainment Tonight. Zima also worked at Variety, where she was hired after interning, doing freelance interviews, articles and event coverage. For Variety she covered the famous annual Vanity Fair Oscars party and a variety of film premieres, interviewing Jim Carrey, Paris Hilton, Donald Glover among others[9]
She also starred as a series regular on MTV's hidden-camera improv comedy show Disaster Date in its fourth season, co-starring with Hasan Minhaj[10].[11]
Zima has a Master's Degree in Convergence Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where she also got her Bachelor's Degree in Magazine Journalism.She was honored with the school's Mizzou 39 award as a senior[12], named to Homecoming Court[13], and also served as a Vice President of her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta[14]. Additionally, she was a member of the school's improv comedy troupe, Comedy Wars.[15][16]
