Lawrence Chard

Lawrence Chard is a Blackpool, England entrepreneur who is the founder and managing director of Chard (1964) Ltd, operating as Chard Coin and Bullion Dealer. Lawrence Chard is an avid photographer, cyclist and skier, he is also a coin hobbyist and qualified numismatist.

Career[edit]

Lawrence bought a premise on Lytham Road, in 1968, aged just 20. During the expansion of Chards, two renovations were done, and it served the employees of Chards for over 40 years, but they eventually outgrew it.

Lawrence quoted that during the refurbished of the Lytham Road premises in 1968, that two old ladies walked past and said, "that'll never last".

In 2015, Juliana Chard joined Chards Coin and Bullion Dealer.

Notably in late 2022, Lawrence Chard spoke on many radio stations discussing 'Gold during times of inflation' that appeared on numerous radio stations such as share radio.[1]

Present day at Chards, there is ‘mod-cons’ including tablets for customers to view the sites.
