Le Canard (The Duck) is an 11-minute, 2018 short film directed, written, and produced by Alex Ko with music by Paul Englishby.[1]
Plot
Le Canard tells the story of the life of a 55-year-old woman struggling to fulfil the loss she is about to experience.
Le Canard opens with Julia preparing a personal recipe of Duck à l'Orange. She tries to connect with others by inviting strangers over for dinner to eat the recipe that evolves with each relationship. The film ends with Julia sitting on the bed with her dying mother.
