Lee Holder, Jr.

Lee Holder, Jr. was the a pioneer in public health, becoming the founding dean of the College of Community and Allied Health Professions at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee in 1972.^[1] He was noted for bringing multiple programs, including dental hygiene, physical therapy, clinical laboratory sciences, cytology, and medical records administration into a single college.^[2] Dr. Holder's many professional writings included "A Perspective on Non-Traditional Academic Programs in the Health Sciences".^[3]

Lee Holder died on January 30, 2016, at the age of 84, in Loveland, Colorado (near his residence in Windsor).^[4]
