Left Me Hangin' is the second extended play by the American singer Jacob Sartorius, released on October 6, 2017.[1] "Hit Me Back" was released as the lead single on June 23, and the remaining three singles were released through October 2017.
Promotion
Singles
Sartorius released four singles from the EP from June to October 2017. Lyric or music videos for the songs were released on Sartorius’ Vevo channel on YouTube.[citation needed] All singles released failed to chart.
Tour
Sartorius embarked on the Left Me Hangin' Tour to promote the album, which began in January 2018.[2]
Critical reception
The EP received poor reviews from music critics. Brent Faulkner of The Musical Hype gave the album two stars out of five, saying "Yep, he's back. Jacob Sartorius. The 'Sweatshirt' Musical.ly star arrives a bit older – he’s now 15. With age comes maturity…supposedly. Arguably, to his credit, the teen-pop upstart has improved gradually, even if just a smidge. Still, envisioning Sartorius as the next Justin Bieber seems far-fetched. Clearly, his second EP, 'Left Me Hangin’ is stronger than his first, 'The Last Text'. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves – there’s still plenty of kinks to iron out for Sartorius".[3]
