Leimin Duong
Leimin Duong (born 1986/1987 (age 36–37))[1] is a Vietnamese-Australian entrepreneur.[2]
Duong was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. While she enjoyed beer, she did not have experience in brewing it before considering the company.[3] She studied brewing in her spare time while working as an office administrator in a bank, and interned briefly at St. Peter's Brewery in Sydney to gain practical experience.[4][5] She established a brewing company, Zeven Lemon Beerworks, and introduced its first product, a strawberry-flavoured beer, in 2013.[6][7]
In 2015, Duong was included in the BBC series 100 Women.[1] In a 2015 article in the Daily Telegraph she discussed the challenges associated with working in a male-dominated industry,[8] and in the interview published a day later she describes the best and worst business decisions she made.[9] While she acknowledges that sales is not her strength, by setting up her company in a defined path she was able to get started as a brewer.[10]
