Lenay Chantelle Olsen (born 25 October 1985; Democratic Republic of Congo), or simply Lenay, is a Congolese singer-songwriter, TV host[1]and YouTuber.[2] She worked on the television program MTV's 10 On Top and, in addition, she was the presenter of various events for the Red Bull brand.
She also has his own channel on the YouTube platform where she has been posting videos in English since 2006, and since 2015 in Spanish for its more than 8 million subscribers. On her channel she collaborated with YouTubers such as Kenia Os, Lyna and JuegaGermán.[3]
In addition to this channel, she has four other YouTube channels, her second channel is little known and is called canadianafrican, which she used to audition for the television show "MTV's Ten on Top", she also has one called Lenay Music in which she publishes his songs and the music video of these, it has more than a million subscribers. Lenay Vlogs, in which she uploads vlogs in the English language, has more than one hundred thousand subscribers, iigloo used to be a channel where she would upload his songs under the pseudonym wiinter and some time later it came to be called jaxxi although it lasted a short time with that name; is a channel in which she uploads remixes of songs by different artists, she has over sixty thousand subscribers. Her most recent channel is called Lenay Olsen, which was created as a "test" channel, and has more than nine thousand subscribers.
Personal life[edit]
Her full name is Lenay Chantelle Olsen. She was born in Zaire (now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo) At the age of four, she traveled to Wisconsin, United States, but she lived most of his life in Minnesota.
She was married to musician Jason Dunn from 2014 to 2016; and since that same year she has maintained a public relationship with the YouTuber with the most subscribers on the digital video platform of Latin America, German Garmendia.

2000–2010: Career beginnings[edit]
Her first job was as a "girl" for the Red Bull soft drink brand, driving a van like this and delivering drinks; and she attended college to be a spanish teacher, although she abandoned the race because she decided that it was not her thing. She was an event host for Red Bull and modeled for American Rag.
She had created a channel on the digital video platform called YouTube in 2006, and that same year she had started making videos in English for the channel Lenay, with videoblogs. A year later she created the channel canadianafrican, in which she uploaded various content.
2010–2014: Hosting of MTV's 10 On Top, her relationships and her fame on YouTube[edit]
In 2010 she was going to audition as the host of the program on the American television channel MTV called MTV's 10 on Top but couldn't go, due to this, she decided to audition in a video on the YouTube platform, the video went viral and she ended up being the presenter of the American program, in the pilot episode, the co-host would be Justin Bieber with Olsen, but he did not become part of the television program; and did shows with stars like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Zac Efron, Zendaya, and the show went on to have over 100 episodes and four seasons.[1][4] Lenay showed off show ideas for MTV, one of her ideas that came to the air was MTV Sleepover. She has also helped produce, record, and edit some of the MTV weekend specials she was a part of. She was also an interviewer and part of the carpets of many of the awards of the MTV network, on multiple occasions at the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Movie Awards, and in other events. In 2012, she was one of the participants in the dating program on the Mexican television channel Telemundo titled 12 Corazones.[5]
A few years later, in 2015, she started making videos in Spanish on his channel, this time of gameplays, and his most popular videos became the videos of the video game released in 2012 called Resident Evil 6 with the multi-award-winning and also youtuber Germán Garmendia.[6]
She acted in the film Between Bedford, where she was the lead alongside Jason Dunn (ex-husband), but the release was canceled because they had broken up.
2016–present: YouTube and music[edit]
In 2016, she is part of the YouTubers event in Latin America called Club Media Fest, among many youtubers such as Fernanfloo, Kevsho and Lionel Ferro;[7] That same year she was invited to participate in the YouTube Rewind 2016 but her participation was suppressed, however she was accredited in it.
On March 28, 2017, Germán Garmendia (Olsen's boyfriend) denounced in a video uploaded to his own YouTube channel titled «Esto tiene que parar... por favor» (in English «This has to stop... please» and which currently has 29 million views) in which he and she say that their fans wanted them to leave their house to take a picture, and the youtubers many times did not want to go out, therefore the fans knocked on the door, the windows and they had even started recording the current youtuber in the shower from her bathroom window; some time later they moved to the United States. Olsen in 2018 is invited by her boyfriend (Germán Garmendia) to be on the pink carpet of the MTV Awards for influencers from Latin America called MTV Millennial Awards.[12]
In 2020, Lenay gave a makeover announcing that her next name for music would be wiinter and made two songs, one with Germán Garmendia titled «Tregua», and another titled «deja vu»; then in 2021 she makes an album called jaxxi and changes her name to that of the album, but then she made the decision to put all her songs under Lenay's name.
