Leo Muhammad (born 1957) is a Jamaican-British activist, religious leader, and comedian. As in an actor, Muhammad starred in BBC's The Real McCoy (TV series) as Mr. Frazier, he has since become an activist for the rights of Black people.
Early Life[edit]
Leo Muhammad was born in Jamaica and lived there until he was nine when his family moved to the United Kingdom, as a youth in the U.K. he was troubled and in and out of prison. While incarcerated in 1986, he heard a recording of Louis Farrakhan and began his path towards becoming Muslim. He was released and moved from South London to West London and decided to pursue a career in acting and comedy. In 1990 or 1991, he met members of the Nation of Islam and became entrenched by the teachings of Elijah Muhammad, he also was cast for the role of Mr. Frazier in the Real McCoy.
Nation of Islam[edit]
After his show went off the air, Muhammad continued his work within the Nation of Islam and continues to this day. Sometimes he speaks at the speakers corner in Hyde Park.
