Leonard Simon is an entrepreneur and the Chairman & Managing Director of Pratygra Private Limited. A young and energetic leader with positive thinking and a great human being by nature. He strongly believes that life with nature is always beautiful and that reflects in all his decisions, both in his personal life and business. He initiated the program Pratygra Care to share his success for the welfare of children’s education, nature, and animals.[1]
Early life
Leonard Simon was born on 04 August 1991 in Tiruchendur. He has no siblings. He was born to well-educated parents and thus directed towards a strong academic start in life. He was academically strong since his early childhood. He also loved painting and sketching. As he is the only son of his ambitious parents, he was allowed to try out different fields of interest in addition to academics. When he was 7 years old, he was taken to enroll in a professional cricket club by his parents. He performed well and used it as a positive refreshment to support his academics. He represented his district club at a very young age.
In parallel, he was enrolled in many extracurricular activities including Karate – Achieved Professional Black belt and won district and national level competitions, Yoga – to improve concentration, Swimming – as a workout and for survival, athletics, etc. His core character, that he always wanted to be a winner, made him achieve success in all the fields he was put into and he was an outstanding person among the children of his age at a very early stage of life. This also earned him the position of Vice-President of the Sports Council at his high school.
College Life
Leonard Simon's favorite subjects were Mathematics and Biology. He always wanted to be a cardiologist. His teachers always appreciated him for his perfection. But, unfortunately, he was in a situation to take up computer science with the Mathematics group after high school due to family and other factors, even though he had eligible marks for the group he wished for. As his natural instinct to be competitive and reach first place pushed him to learn advanced coding as a separate course when his school was teaching him the basics as part of the syllabus. After his higher secondary completion, he wanted to join the best university but at the same time, he wanted the freedom to study using his own methods. Unfortunately, universities have their own process in place for their results and a placement-oriented approach. He believed that academics and merit would get him the best university, he selected a university in Tamil Nadu situated in Ooty. As he loves nature and he wanted to stay there and enjoy his college days and also successfully complete the course. The first time in his life he faced the reality where the facilities, food, and the way the students were treated were different between students who joined through donations and merit-based counseling. It went to an extent where he fell very sick and decided to quit.
After recovery, he got an offer to join a famous university in Tamil Nadu. The moment he stepped into the University, he felt that this was the place he was looking for. It had so many facilities to offer and to use to gain knowledge. His best friends were his teachers. He always prefers to have genuine few friends than many fake ones. He was the Gold Medalist at the University. Post completing his UG he got admission for an MBA from the same university to continue. He completed his MBA and got placed in a US-based HealthCare IT company through campus recruitment.
Career
Leonard Simon was born into a business class family. He was exposed to business at a very young age managing his family business. The management skills in his DNA helped him with this natural business acumen and reading people. With so much experience with business exposure, he is proactive by nature. He was managing his family business since he was 18 years old. He also started his journey to learn and invest in equity markets at the same age. He loves playing video games even now as it helps him to stay focused and he says his favorite game is GTA and the Share Market. He wanted to start a business in his field of choice but he was always eager to learn new industries.
The reason behind him picking the US-based healthcare IT company besides offers from top MNCs is it was just a 10-year-old company with less than 250 employees. The biggest advantage of a start-up culture company is that it will help you to explore the domain and learn a lot of cross-functional activities and understand the core business. The career had a great start. His business acumen skills helped him to achieve great goals and grow faster in the organization. When the process chain broke and great leaders left the organization, the company started to struggle a lot. When top performers left the organization, he decided to stay and see the worst things in business that could happen. When you are looking to just have a job and survive, you can jump from organization to organization. But if you want to be successful in life and achieve great things you should learn to survive in the toughest situation.
Leonard Simon is always kind to people and loves animals. He is a down-to-earth person. His best quality is he treats people as humans. He always wanted to live life purposefully. He founded Pratygra Private Limited with an intention to bring back a life lived with nature and ensure everyone eats healthy foods. His vision is big and better things are yet to come. He started Pratygra Care to share his success with children, animals, and nature welfare. The biggest positive changes in this world are brought by creative, ambitious, and out-of-the-box thinkers. He always says, "Life is short, if you want to do something useful do it right now. You should always make your life purposeful to the environment and not just for money in the name of a salary. Time is the most expensive asset, it is up to you to decide whether you are going to use it for someone's dream to achieve their success or to give life to your dreams".
Hobbies
Leonard Simon loves nature and exploring different cultures. He loves photography[2], listening to music, long drives and travel, food and traditions.
