Leonard William Lilley (24 October 1923 – 2 April 1993) was an American air force pilot.
Biography
He was born on 24 October 1923, in Ancon, Panama.
He married Cynthia Ashley Rice on July 22, 1950 in Manchester, New Hampshire.
He died on 2 April 1993 (aged 69) in Alexandria, Virginia, United States.[1] He was buried in the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.[2]
Career
He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1945.[3]
During the Korean War, he became a U.S. Air Force ACE, having shot 7 enemy aircraft in direct air combat.[1]
Awards and honours
He received the Silver Star from the US Congress.[3]
He received the Distinguished Flying Cross from the US President.[1]
