Leontiev Victor
Soviet and Russian photographer, long-term correspondent for the newspaper "At the Combat Post" of the Moscow Military District of the Air Defense Forces. Born May 9, 1946, in Moscow. He worked at the ZIL plant and at PO Box 769. From 1967 to 1969 he served in the Signal Corps in the city of Chekhov. In 1973 he graduated from the Moscow Polytechnic, Moscow City Council with a degree in photography, as well as special courses in photography. Since 1973, he worked as a photojournalist for the daily newspaper "At a Combat Post", traveling on business trips to shoot throughout the entire Moscow Military District of the Air Defense Forces. The stories presented the life of the Soviet army, parades, holidays, combat and political training of military personnel, as well as numerous air defense military equipment – missiles and aircraft. He was a staff photographer for military parades on Red Square from the USSR Ministry of Defense. With the beginning of "Perestroika" he took photographs of the artists of the Bolshoi Theater, including in the Kremlin Palace of Congresses. He collected a collection of photographs of the Soviet and Russian period, taken personally, as well as received from colleagues of the older generation. Some photographs were sold at online auctions.[1]
