Pedro Rodrigues aka. Lerocque (born 16 April 1989) is a Portuguese pop-singer based in Switzerland. He achieved recognition with several releases and chart entries as a solo act and main vocalist of One Day Remains.
Later in 2015, he started his solo career and released successful songs like "Hanging With The Cool Kids", "Gimme Some" and "Perfect". The song "Perfect" was dedicated to children with rare diseases. It charted in the Swiss Top 100.[1]
Origin
Pedro Rodrigues[2] (born 16 April 1989) is a Swiss vocalist. He and his siblings migrated with their parents to Switzerland in the 1990s.
Early life
Music was always Rodrigues's rock, keeping him above water. He adored the music in Disney movies and roleplaying games. Those sparked Rodrigues's idea of becoming a musician himself. As he couldn't play any instrument, he began to sing. Later he found One Day Remains, a Swiss rock band online. They made their mark by winning various national and international competitions, several single releases and their debut album Life Is Living in 2016.
Besides rock music, Rodrigues was a huge fan of modern pop. That is why he decided to develop a second mainstay as a solo artist. For this he teamed up with the producer of his band, Matthias Hillebrand-Gonzalez. Together, they started writing songs. They're often about those small and big life stories, without knowing any genre boundaries. He also got signed to Muve Recordings in 2019, one of the most successful labels in Switzerland. This is where he still releases his music.
Career
He started his musical career in 2009 and became part of the band One Day Remains. In 2015, he also started his solo career with his first songs "Kissing Concrete" and "Divinity" he released with friends from a small label called PDE. Later on he came out with songs like "Perfect" in 2017, "Lift Me Up" in 2018, "Gimme Some" in 2018, "Because The Sun" in 2018. After signing a label contract with MUVE Recordings he directly released his single Hanging Out With The Cool Kids in 2019 which had a huge impact on his career until now.
"Perfect" (2017)
Source[3]
I'm beautifully different, so imperfectly perfect was a line in the chorus of this song to express the feelings of a person with rare diseases. With this song he gave them a voice and supported them in their daily struggle with their illness.
"Lift Me Up" (2018)
The first song he ever released with his wife Carmen Bieri, known from The Voice Of Switzerland. A song about unconditional love. They produced this piece of Eurodance with Matthias Hillebrand-Gonzalez.
"Gimme Some" (2018)
The song's about feeling attracted to a stranger. A small glow that turns into a blazing fire. Wild, free and without any obligations. It transports this feeling of living fast and dying young in an extra sexy way.
"Because The Sun" (2018)
This was the second collaboration with the well known drum and bass producer/DJ Task Horizon after their dancefloor hit Kill The Pain.
"Hanging Out With The Cool Kids" (2019)
