"Let Your Glory Fall" with Don Moen is a live worship album recorded by American singer and songwriter, Don Moen. It was produced by Tom Brooks for Integrity's Hosanna! Music. On September 13, 1997, was recognized by Billboard Magazine, charting No. 32 on the Top Contemporary Christian Albums.[2]
Recording[edit]
Let Your Glory Fall was recorded live at First Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Don Moen led the worship session with David Gaines directing the First Baptist Church Orchestra and Kim Noblitt directing the choir.[3][4] Its focus is on desiring God's presence. Moen says this about the project:
As I travel around, more and more I hear people say we don't need another product, we don't need another pageant — we need God's presence. This was recorded at the First Baptist Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. It was one of the most powerful worship experiences I've ever had. As we sung the words "Lord to You we call, let your glory fall..." and "May Your presence go with us...," people testified that they were healed and God truly answered our prayer. As we worshipped Him, He allowed us to experience His glory in a new and fresh way. My prayer is that as you listen to this recording, you will sense what we all sensed that night in Florida, and that your life and your home will be changed as a result of touching God's glory...[5]
Alongside the live recording, Moen released a choral collection as a response to the powerful worship experience he had during the original recording. It includes the same songs as the original album in a choral style similar to the musicals Don had done prior (those being "God With Us" and "Mighty Cross").[6]
Songs[edit]
Let Your Glory Fall includes eleven new songs, several of which would be used in later albums. The most noteworthy song in the album, "Hallelujah to the Lamb," was originally written by Debbye Graafsma, and Don Moen helped refine it.[7] It was re-recorded in three later albums(God For Us, God is Good - Worship With Don Moen, and By Special Request, Vol. 2).[8][9][10]
Some other examples of songs that were redone in later albums include "For All You've Done", "Deeper in Love" (Both in By Special Request, Vol. 2) "We've Come to Bless Your Name" (recorded for God For Us and God is Good - Worship with Don Moen), "Let Your Glory Fall" (performed in God is Good - Worship with Don Moen and God in Us in the medley, "Our Great Redeemer's Praise"),[11] and "Because We Believe" (performed by the song's co-author, Jamie Harvill, on the album Because We Believe by Integrity Worship Songwriters).[12]
