Biography
Lev Kliot was born on March 15, 1952, in the city of Daugavpils, Latvia (part of the former USSR at the time). His father was a clockmaker. After graduating from secondary school #5 in Daugavpils, he attended the Higher Military-Political Aviation School in Kurgan, Russia. From 1973 to 1979, Lev Kliot was in military service in the town of Rubtsovsk in the Altai region. In 1979, he was discharged from military service in the rank of senior lieutenant (first lieutenant) and moved to Riga. From 1980 to 1983, he studied and graduated from the Latvian State University, department of Economics of Commerce. He started one of the first cooperative enterprises in Riga. From 1993, he led the joint Latvian-American company “Riviera”. Kliot began his literary career in 2016. He is the author of social science fiction novels “Satisfaction”, “Intersection” and “Sphere”, as well as biographical novels “Fate and Will” and “Rivers of Human Fates”.
