Levent Altinel
Prof Dr Levent Altinel, is a Turkish academician and renowned orthopaedic surgeon[1]. He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1994[2]. He specialised in Orthopaedics and Traumatology from Istanbul University before starting his academic career at Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Medicine. There, he held the position of Head of Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology between 2004-2005. He did extensive research in knee surgery[3] and has a special interest in robotic surgery. Prof. Dr. Altinel won the 'Award of Best Research' during the XIX. National Turkish Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2005[4]. He currently works at Uncali Meydan Hospital[5] and publishes videos to inform the general public[6]
