his brother bands, The Teenagers.[1]

Early Life
Lewis Lymon was born on June 20, 1944 in NYC with his brother Frankie Lymon. Frankie became a largely successful singer with his band the Teenagers.[2]
“The Teenchords”
When he was 12, he met up with some neighborhood friends and his brothers started singing. They reached successful popularity, but, not billboard fame like the Teenagers did. In 1957, they performed with The Impressions, The Channels, and the Heartbreaks.[2]
