Biography[edit]

Lidija Bačić attended elementary school Dobri in Split, and she attended secondary school in the same town. For a short time, she studied the economy but she left because she wanted to sing. She was also auditioned for the study of drama art but was not admitted. Lidija started singing at the age of 10, and the first public performance she had at the Children's Festival in 1997, where she won the first prizes of the jury and audience with the song "Zaljubljeni dječak". She soon joined the vocal-dance group "Perle", where she became the first vocal at the age of seven, under the esteem of Ingrid Flesch. In 2001 she performed with "Perle" on HRT Dora. In 2002, she was followed by a new performance at "Dora" with the song "Nemirna rijeka" and the peak was the "Grand Prix" prize at the Split Festival with the song "Riči". In 2005 she was the finalist of the second season of Hrvatski Idol (Croatian Idol) and won second place in a dramatic finale. Shortly afterward she regularly performs in Croatia and abroad. At the beginning of 2008, she co-operated with the renowned Croatian composer Mark Tomasovic, with whom she realized her first single "Day After Eternity", the English version of "All I'll Ever Need" and "Rain". The song "All I'll Ever Need" was made in cooperation with Lina Eriksson of the Swedish EMI branch and achieved great success at radio stations across Europe in March 2008. In 2010 she released her first album.

Lidija is Roman Catholic and she says that she is religious and she attends Mass every Sunday. She is 1.73 m tall.
