Lidya Pratiwi known as Maria Eleanor (born January 14, 1987) is an Indonesian actress. She made her soap opera debut with Tersanjung 6 by Multivision Plus that aired on Indosiar, an Indonesian TV network.[2]
Career[edit]
Lidya started her career as a model. She then expanded her career by becoming a soap opera player Ande-Ande Lumut. Her name is increasingly recognized by the public after playing the iconic character Jinny in the soap opera Untung Ada Jinny, which is the latest version of the soap opera Jinny Oh Jinny.[3]

Controversy[edit]
Murder her Gilfriend (2006)[edit]
In 2006, Lidya Pratiwi was found to be involved in a premeditated murder case with her mother Vince Yusuf and uncle Tony Yusuf. The murder victim was Lidya Pratiwi's girlfriend Naek Gonggom Hutagalung, who was also a model. Naek Gonggom was murdered in a cottage in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, on April 28, 2006. After further investigation, the motive for this murder was robbery.[4]
Lidya Pratiwi's involvement in this case was that she helped her mother and uncle who were the brains and executors of the murder. Lidya knew the whole plan and did not try to prevent it. Therefore, Lidya was charged with multiple articles, namely Pasal 340 KUHP (English: Article 340 of the Criminal Code) on premeditated murder and Pasal 365 KUHP (English: Article 365 of the Criminal Code) on theft and violence with a sentence of 14 years in prison.[5]
In 2013, Lidya was reportedly released on parole.[6] On 2018, She was declared pure release because her parole status had expired, especially since he received 30 months remission.[3][7][8]
Convert from Islam to Christianity (2020)[edit]
After 2 years free from prison, She has change name to Lydya Pratiwi to Maria Eleanor was previously rumored to have converted to Islam while in detention. Her decision to become a Muslim was said to be because Lidya dreamed of visiting the Kaaba three times. However, when she changed her name to Maria many people speculated that she had converted back to Christianity. Lidya explained that her old name was not suitable and it was hard to use the name. On a recent occasion, Lidya finally opened her voice about changing her religion. However, she was reluctant to answer her religion because it was considered sensitive.[9]
