From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Like Machines is a hard rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. Members of the band include Andrew Evans (guitar/vocals), Tanner Hendon (bass), and Cheney Brannon (drums).[1] Like Machines’ classic-meets modern sound is influenced by the music of Collective Soul, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne and Guns N' Roses.[2] Like Machines released their first single in 2019, “Kaiser,” a song with lyrics that describe the brutality of war in a non-politically charged way.[3] This was followed by the release of “Destitute,” a song tackling the issues of homelessness.[4] Their third single, “Run, Hide” was released in September 2019 and focuses on the issues of drug abuse and addiction. The band is signed to Madison Records, a record label out of Atlanta, Georgia.

History[edit]

The band first came together as The Stir in 2015, consisting of Evans, Hendon, and McClain Hendon (drums). The Stir was formed when childhood friends Evans and Tanner Hendon started playing music together after high school. The Stir released a self-titled EP in 2018. The Stir toured nationally throughout the summer of 2018, opening for Fozzy and Collective Soul.2 In 2019 the band rebranded itself as Like Machines, to reflect the evolution of the band's sound and to introduce new drummer Cheney Brannon.[5]

Causes

In September 2019, Like Machines expressed their support for The Big Sleep Out, a global non-profit aimed to end homelessness and displacement.
