Linksys Velop FirmwareUpdate Manually

To ensure that your mesh router system is operating on the most recent software for best performance and security, manually update the firmware on your Linksys Velop. First, connect your computer to the Velop WiFi network and open a web browser in order to manually update the firmware. To access the login page, type your Linksys Velop's default IP address into the address bar of your browser.

Procedure for Firmware Update via manual method[edit]

Use the web interface to upgrade the Linksys Velop's firmware by doing the following steps:

  1. On a PC linked to the Velop WiFi network, open a web browser.
  2. Press Enter after entering your Linksys Velop's default IP address.
  3. Use the default login information shown on the Linksys Velop login page. Enter "password" as the password and "admin" as the user ID.
  4. After logging in, select Connectivity under Router settings on the Linksys Velop dashboard.
  5. When a new version of the firmware is published, the firmware will update automatically if the feature is enabled by default.
  6. Uncheck the associated checkbox and select the option to manually upgrade the firmware to turn off the automatic update feature.
