Linux Virtual Tape Library (Open Source)
This article talks about Virtual Tape Library implementation for UNH-iSCSI. This virtual tape library (VTL) is implemented by students of Pune Institute of Computer Technology, Pune, India.
UNH-iSCSI supports four different modes viz FILEIO, MEMORYIO, DISKIO and GENERICIO. This VTL is implemented in FILEIO mode only. This VTL implementation supports all mandatory SCSI stream commands and some primary commands.
Developers: Vinay Kabra, Dipesh Kalantri and Sumit Dembra implemented this VTL for UNH-iSCSI under the guidance of Sushrut Shirole.
