Landing at Surabaya
The flight was normal until the approach to Surabaya International Airport. However, heavy rain conditions made landing on runway 10 difficult. The aircraft stopped 30 meters beyond the safety area line, with only the nose gear overrunning the runway.
Aftermath
The aircraft remained on the runway for 18 hours after landing. Lion Air reported no injuries and no structural damage to the aircraft. The plane was still at Surabaya Airport on February 21.
