Gravis UltraSound is a brand of sound cards developed for IBM PC compatible computers and sold by Advanced Gravis Computer Technology from 1992 to 1996. Although it was most successful in the PC demoscene, several computer games, in particular those released in the 1990s, supported the Gravis UltraSound card or its successors for sound output. It was initially developed for DOS and the Windows 3.x operating environments, but the company released its only known driver for its DOS-based cards that added support for Windows 9x, although with mixed results.[1][2] The games for DOS, as well as some Windows games, that support the Gravis UltraSound were provided drivers to directly support hardware peripherals, including the Gravis UltraSound, which was customary as these platforms lacked a standardized API for which the developers could write their software instead.[3] This list includes all the games known to have supported any of the Gravis UltraSound models.
