A Five-wicket haul in cricket occurs when a bowler takes 5 wickets or more in an innings. 37 Sri Lankan players have taken five-wicket hauls in Test matches, where the first fifer was taken by Somachandra de Silva in 1982 against Pakistan with the figures 5 for 59 runs.[1]
