Note:

  • Sun Life Stadium home of the Discover Orange Bowl and Miami Hurricanes football will be installing four giant high-definition video boards in the four corners of the upper bowl as part of phase II renovations.[141]
  • Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium home of Oklahoma Sooners football will be installing a new $5 million video board make by Daktronics. The new video board is projected to be the second-biggest college scoreboard in the country. The size of the scoreboard will be 46.8’ X 166.8’ 13mm, equaling an area of around 7,806 square feet[142]
  • Rice-Eccles home of Utah Utes Football plans to install a new video board that will cost 8.4 million. The new videoscreen would be 5,452 square feet, the scoreboard is expected to be ready for the 2016 season.[143]

Spartan Stadium (Home of Michigan State Spartans football installed three new video boards for the 2012 season. The larger South LED board measures 47.2 feet (14.4 m) high by 114.8 feet (35.0 m) wide for a total of 5,412 square feet (502.8 m2). The two North LED boards measure 31.5 feet (9.6 m) high by 52.5 feet (16.0 m) wide for a total of 1,653.75 square feet (153.638 m2) each. When combined, the three boards measure 8,719.5 square feet (810.07 m2), making it the largest combined board system in the country.

  • University of Kentucky installed two new video boards for the 2011 season. Each LED video board measures approximately 37 feet (11 m) high by 80 feet (24 m) wide (2,960 square feet), making each display the 28th-largest scoreboard in the country. Combined, the 5,920 square feet (550 m2) will make the new video boards one of the largest scoreboard systems in the country.[39]
  • Michigan installed two new video boards for the 2011 season. Each LED board measures 47.1 feet (14.4 m) high by 84.8 feet (25.8 m) wide for a total of 3,991 square feet (370.8 m2). When combined, the two boards measure 7,982 square feet (741.6 m2), making it the one of the largest combined board systems in the country.[27]
  • The Rose Bowl installed a 78 feet by 30 feet high LED video board for the 2011 Gold Cup and UCLA football games.
  • BYU installed two new high-definition LED video boards at Lavell Edwards Stadium for the 2012 season in the North and South endzones along with ribbon boards. They are 16 mm pitch with a native resolution of 960 x 672 pixels.[72]
