I suggest List of numeric seventh-generation product names with innumeric predecessor or List of numeric seventh-generation product names with non-six predecessor as the new title, because the current title disregards that Windows 1.0, Windows 2.0 and Windows 3.0, as well as Mario Kart 64 existed.
Some product series started using their generation count in their name, such as Windows 7 and Mario Kart 7, with Windows Vista and Mario Kart Wii as their respective predecessors, rather than Windows 6 and Mario Kart 6, and succeeded by Windows 8 and Mario Kart 8 respectively.

- Mario Kart 7, preceded by Mario Kart Wii and succeeded by Mario Kart 8
