List of games with FSR support
FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) is an image upscaling technology.[1] Supported games render their graphics at a low resolution, then upscale those graphics to the monitor's native resolution, which provides a framerate boost. It was developed by AMD and released on June 22, 2021. FSR works on every GPU that supports DirectX 11, DirectX 12, or Vulkan. It officially launched with support for seven games.[2] FSR is implemented differently than Nvidia's DLSS; TechPowerUp described it as "much simpler",[3] and support for FSR may be easier to implement than DLSS.[4]
Because FSR does not use temporal data it will not add ghosting or shimmering like temporal solutions such as DLSS or temporal anti aliasing upscaling. Because it does not replace the anti aliasing in the game, it could still have shimmering caused by an in game temporal anti aliasing. Solutions such as DLSS replace the in game anti aliasing, which can in some scenarios lead to less shimmering.
