List of metals in Pakistan
Metals are highly important resources. A few metals such as gold and copper appear in pure form as metallic elements, but most are found as ores, which are chemical compounds containing a high proportion of the metal. The following metallic minerals are found in Pakistan.
Gold[edit]
Gold is found mostly in Chagai hills 8.00 meters in Balochistan. There is 4.00 million ounces of gold.
Iron ore[edit]
Iron ore is found at several places in Pakistan, Kalabagh Iron deposits are the largest with estimated reserves of 309-Million Ton. They are made with blast furances
Copper[edit]
Copper deposits are located in the Eruptive Zone of Western Baluchistan about 25 Miles North of Koh-i-Tuftan Railway Station.
Chromite[edit]
Chromite, an iron chromium oxide, is located along the Axial Belt.
Manganese[edit]
Manganese has been found in three areas in the Axial Belt at Lasbela District, Chagai District of the Eruptive Zone and at Galdanian.
Celestite[edit]
Celestite or Celestine is a Strontium mineral. Its largest deposits are located near Thano Bulla Khan, Sindh.
Bauxite[edit]
Bauxite (Aluminium ore) has only been found at Muzaffaraba and Kotle Azad Kashmir, Central Salt Range, Loralai District in Baluchistan.
