The Department of Archaeology & Museums, Haryana is a premier department came into existence in the shape of a cell under the Control of Education department in the year 1969 and as an independent department in the year 1972 with a small staff and meager budget.[1] The Department has declared 40 monuments/sites as State Protected Monument/Sites. [2]
