Sarah Geronimo (/əˈrɒnɪm/; born Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo; July 25, 1988) is a Filipino singer, actress and television personality. Born and raised in Santa Cruz, Manila, Geronimo started a career in music after winning the television singing contest Star for a Night in 2003. She signed with music label Viva Records and rose to fame with the release of her first album Popstar: A Dream Come True (2003); it became a commercial success and won two Awit Awards. Geronimo's music was for a time categorized as pop until the release of her tenth studio album Expressions (2013), when she diverted into R&B and dance. In 2013, her single "Ikot-Ikot" has won the Awit Award for Best R&B Recording. In 2015, Geronimo has won the Awit Award for Album of the Year for her eleventh studio record Perfectly Imperfect. In the 2014 report of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, she is the highest paid musician in the country. Called the Popstar Princess, her contributions to music, along with her film and television work, made her a local figure in popular culture of the 2000s to 2010s in the Philippines. Sarah Geronimo has made a total of 12 studio albums as of 2016.

Originally recorded by Canadian singer Celine Dion, Geronimo recorded this song for her debut album 'Popstar: A Dream Come True in 2003 after performing this as winning piece on Star for A Night.

Forever's Not Enough

Released in 2002 as Geronimo's debut single, it is the first #1 song on Pinoy MYX Countdown (formerly called OPM MYX Countdown) when it was launched in 2003. The music video features Mark Bautista who was Sarah's runner up of the singing contest "Star for a Night" which was aired in 2002.[1] This song won Best Performance by a New Female Recording Artist at the 2003 edition of prestigious Awit Awards.

Sa Iyo

Another single from her album Popstar: A Dream Come True, released by Viva Records. The song is a composition by Medwin Marfil of True Faith. The music video is under the direction of Avid Liongoren.[2] This song made Geronimo bagged the Best Dance Recording Award at the 2003 edition of prestigious Awit Awards.

If Only

Written by OPM Icon Ogie Alcasid, Geronimo released this song as the last single off her debut album in 2004.

How Could You Say You Love Me

Second single from Geronimo's sophomore studio album Sweet Sixteen. Used as the theme song of the Philippine Broadcast of Korean TV Series Save the Last Dance for Me. The song reached #1 in MYX Charts in 2004 for numerous weeks and landed at #3 on MYX Year-end Chart 2004 along with mainstream artists foreign and local including Britney Spears, Jerry Yan, Rivermaya and Avril Lavigne.[3] This song became a popular Karaoke song in the Philippines.

I Still Believe in Loving You

Debut single from Geronimo's third studio album Becoming, written by Lori Barth, Jimmy Borja and Ralph Stemmann. The song charted at #4 on 2006 edition of Myx Year-end Chart. In 2012, Singer Nina Girado recorded a tagalized version of the song for her All Good album.

Ikaw

Second single from Sarah Geronimo's forth studio album Taking Flight, written by Medwin Marfil, released in 2007. Geronimo made a record as she landed at #5 at the 2007 edition of Myx Year-end chart as the only female Filipino Artist inside the top 10.[4]

Sino Nga Ba Siya

Awit Award-winning song, released in 2011 as the lead single from her album One Heart (Sarah Geronimo album). The music video of the song premiered on Myx and later uploaded by a user in YouTube, it garnered 10 million views on the said site before it was deleted. Viva Records later uploaded the music video in 2014, and as of May 2016, it was viewed 1 million times.

Ikot-Ikot

A 2013 hit song, written by Thyro Alfaro, it was produced by Jumbo "Bojam" de Belen and released under Viva Records. The song served as the lead single off Geronimo's 2013 platinum album Expressions. It became available for digital download on July 22, 2013 but before its release date, the song was sent to different radio stations across the Metro Manila on the second week of July.[5] The song won the LSS (Last Song Syndrome) of the Year award on Rappler Social Media Awards 2013.[6] The song gained numerous nominations and awards from various award-giving bodies such as World Music Awards 2014,[7] PMPC Star Awards for Music 2014,[8] 27th Awit Awards and Myx Music Awards 2014.[9]
