“Liszt Memorial Prizes” Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition is an international piano competition which is held in Hong Kong once every two years.[1]
Brief Introduction[edit]
This international piano competition is served in remembrance of the King of Piano Franz Liszt, which is organized by Hong Kong International Musician Association in 2011. The first feature of the very competition is that Jury Members will access and select the top five contestants of each class according to contestants’ live performances. If these top five contestants can’t meet the standard line set by both the Organizing Committee and Jury Members, prizes will not be awarded. The second feature is that during the competition, a series of Franz Liszt-themed concerts and special lectures on analysis of Franz Liszt’s musical works.
