LITHIUM PLUS INC (리튬플러스) is South Korea's first lithium hydroxide refining company and integrated lithium composite refinery.
The company was founded by Ph.D Chon Uong in 2021, 3 years after founding Lithium Insight Inc., in 2018. Company acquired Hydro Lithium Inc. (formerly "KOREA SE" (코리아에스이)) in 2022[1].
Geumsan plant, its first refining factory was acquired from Leechem to meet domestic chemical regulations. Factory was refurbished and introduced new plant equipment to start refining lithium carbonate to lithium hydroxide in 2022, with an annual capacity of 3,600 metric tons.
With its subsidiary Hydro Lithium Inc., company plans to establish a second factory with an annual refining capacity of 50,000 metric tons within South Korea by 2026[2].
