Little ELF Products, Inc. is a gift wrap company known for the invention and manufacturing of the Little ELF Gift Wrap Cutter, a cylindrical cutter that slices through wrapping paper.[1] In December of 2019, Little ELF, represented by its CEO, Bryan Perla, appeared on ABC's reality show, Shark Tank. Little ELF is a patent-pending device.[2]

History

Inventor Bryan Perla created the idea for Little ELF at the age of 17 while in an independent study course at The Winchendon School where he began developing and patenting his invention.[3]

In April 2018, Little ELF launched on Kickstarter.[4] After the 45-day campaign, Little ELF was over 600% funded, raising $130,125 from 4,134 backers.[5] According to an update in March 2019, Little ELF delivered all of the more than 12,000 products that were purchased from Kickstarter. [6]

Little ELF has a retail agreement with IG Design Group, the largest gift wrap manufacturer in the world, bringing Little ELF to stores such as The Container Store, Walmart, Target, Michaels Craft Stores, Ace Hardware, The Grommet, and more.[7]

The company released an additional product, Little ELF Gift Wrap Tape, in Fall 2021.[8]

As seen on Shark Tank

Little ELF appeared on the ABC reality show, Shark Tank on December 1st, 2019.[9] Originally airing December 2019 during the holiday special, Lori Greiner made a 20% equity deal with Perla for $150,000.[10][11]

About The Inventor

Bryan Perla was diagnosed with dyslexia early in life.[12] He graduated from Stanford University in June 2022.
