Living Loaded is an American comedy television pilot written by Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell, based on Dan Dunn's novel of the same name.[1] The pilot was commissioned by Fox and was slated to air during the 2012–13 season, but it was not picked up as a series. The cast includes Donald Sutherland, Mike Vogel, and McElhenney.
Production[edit]
The project was announced in January 2012 as picked up by Fox.[2][3][4] On February 10, 2012, Mike Vogel was cast in the lead role of Dan, the "loose partying blogger of the popular Living Loaded blog who is forced to change his career plans when he becomes an NPR radio host",[5] and a week later, Donald Sutherland was announced as co star[6][7] as Grant, Dunn's father who also happens to be the General Manager of the local public radio station.[8] In June 2012, Larry Wilmore was brought aboard the project as Leonard, "a thoughtful and reserved Black intellectual whose dream of hosting his own NPR show is crushed when Dan is brought in as his co-host."[9]
