Sir Lloyd Elsmore OBE JP () was a New Zealand politician, who served as mayor of Manukau City from 1968 till 1983. He was the mayor during the rapid growth of east Auckland.
Early Life
Elsmore was born on the 16 Jan 1913 and emigrated to New Zealand in 19 February 1925. He was in a military ballott record in Blackball, New Zealand in 1942. [1]

During his time as Manukau City Mayor, Elsmore was instrumental in growing the suburbs of East Auckland, with development of the Manukau city centre and the Pakuranga Shopping Centre.[2]
Honorific eponym
Lloyd Elsmore Park in East Auckland is named in his honour.[3]
