Logan Sargeant (born 31 December 2000 in Boca Raton) is an American racing driver currently competing in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 championship.[1]
Career[edit]
Karting[edit]
Sargeant began his karting career in 2008.[2] From there he achieved multiple titles in championships across America before moving to Europe in 2009, where he achieved his most notable title with the 2015 KFJ World Championship thus becoming the first American karting champion in Europe since Lake Speed.[3][4]
Lower formulae[edit]
In 2016, Sargeant was confirmed to make his single-seater debut in the inaugural Formula 4 UAE Championship with Motopark.[5] Despite claiming no wins, he achieved multiple podiums to finish vice-champion to teammate Jonathan Aberdein.
In 2017, Sargeant moved to the F4 British Championship with Carlin.[6] He achieved his maiden single-seater win at Rockingham and took an additional victory at Silverstone on his way to third in the championship.[7][8]
Formula Renault[edit]
After racing for them in selected rounds of the V de V Challenge Monoplace, Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup and Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 in 2017, Sargeant moved to the R-ace GP outfit for the 2018 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 championship and selected rounds of the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup.[9]
