Lolene Everett (born 12 March 1985), professionally known simply as Lolene is a British former recording artist, songwriter and Performer turned music executive. Lolene is founder of record label 21:12 Entertainment from Bristol, England. Lolene discovered, created and signed Swedish teen artist Nova Miller to her label 21:12 Entertainment who she continues to manages and act as CEO.

Early life[edit]

Lolene was raised by her mother and describes herself as "independent by default" for this reason. While in Bristol, Lolene began singing backing vocals for Martina Topley-Bird[1] (vocalist for Tricky) and also collaborated with local drum and bass pioneer Roni Size.

On relocating to London, Lolene signed a development deal with BMG Records to front their latest girl group. She wrote the group's material, but left shortly after to pursue a solo career and focus on her songwriting.

Lolene moved to Los Angeles and signed to Beluga Heights/Sony ATV after being discovered by record producer J.R. Rotem (Rihanna, Britney Spears) and his manager Zach Katz. Initially hired as a writer, Lolene began developing her personal sound with the help of Rotem and other producers.[2] Lolene went on to sign an artist contract with Capitol records and released critically acclaimed songs such as 'Sexy People' and 'Rich' ( Fake it til you make it)

Releases[edit]

2009: The Electrick Hotel and Cracked Not Broken[edit]

Lolene released her debut album The Electrick Hotel in 2012 with Capitol records USA.

Lolene released her debut single Sexy People in 2009. The track reached No. 5 as of Billboard Magazine Dance Club Chart 1 December 2009 issue.[3] The first official single from her album, Rich (Fake It Til You Make It) was released on 19 April 2010. An official music video was shot for the song and premiered on 29 June 2010. Lolene has mentioned in interviews that the 90s inspired Lionheart would be the next single.[4] After leaving Capitol shortly after the company merger with EMI Lolene relocated back to Europe to focus on songwriting and business.

"21:12 Entertainment"[edit]

Lolene launched her own Stockholm based record label and media group l 21:12 Entertainment in 2013 as an opportunity to sign and develop new talent. Lolene discovered Swedish teen artist Nova Miller at a dance rehearsal and signed her as the first artist. Lolene gave Nova her name as she felt it was more international than her birth name Fanny Granström and she reminded her of an exploding star. Lolene signed a collaboration with Universal records for Nova and wrote her singles 'Supernova' 'Singin in the rain' 'So Good' and 'My Perfect Christmas' Lolene continues to manage and develop Nova Miller. In May 2016 Lolene released the summer hit single 'So Good' for Nova Miller exclusively on 21:12 Entertainment which went viral with over 750,000 streams in first release. In 2017 Lolene entered into a partnership with BMG records to release Nova and her other artists music. Nova Miller is fast becoming one of the biggest new pop artists in Sweden and Lolene continues to expand her roster and media enterprises which include original TV formats and fashion. In Dec 2018 Lolene and 21:12 Entertainment parted ways with BMG Sweden and signed a collaboration with 300 Entertainment USA For Nova Miller after the CEO Kevin Liles signed her on the spot
