Lord Garmadon is a fictional character in the animated action television series Ninjago. He was the main antagonist of the first few seasons and initially served as the primary foe for the Ninjas, the protagonists of the show, but after he was cleansed of his evil following the defeat of the Overlord at the end of season 2, Garmadon became a sensei alongside his younger brother Wu, and taught the Ninja various fighting styles and moves not taught previously by Wu. He remained the Ninja's sensei up until his death in the season 4 finale "The Corridor of Elders", where Garmadon sacrificed himself to stop the Anacondrai Cultists from taking over Ninjago.
Within the storyline of Ninjago, Garmadon is the elder son of the First Spinjitzu Master, the older brother of Master Wu, the husband of Misako, and the father of Lloyd Garmadon, the main character of the show. Garmadon's original goal was to collect the four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu to remake the land of Ninjago in his own image; however, he was thwarted by the Ninja.
