The BackStreet Boys or BSB are an Argentine gang that controlled the north of Fuerte Apache. It was the largest gang in that neighborhood and one of the largest in Argentina. It was founded at node 1 in the Army District of the Andes (Fuerte Apache). His name comes from his way of dressing which was similar to that of the band Backstreet Boys. They wore loose, clothing, NBA jerseys, galactic sneakers, caps, chains that reached to their navels, and rings with their initials: BSB. Their members were between 15 and 25 years old. They played basketball and listened to cumbia, On weekends they had fun at the Patria club, which organized Colombian music parties. He stayed in Ciudadela and received cumbia groups. Sometimes FA, the neighborhood rap group, friends of Los Backstreet performed live. They also had a cult of hatred of the police

History[edit]

Origins[edit]

The gang was formed in the 1990s by José Luis Romano (Joselo) and his friend Jorge in the Army District of Los Andes specifically at node 1, like a gang dedicated to the theft of vehicles, people and property. The immigrants who had just arrived in the neighborhood, entered their houses stealing their things and forcing them to leave the neighborhood, with the passage of time to drug trafficking.

New Generation[edit]

The new generation begins between 2000 and 2001, when the gendarmerie enters the neighborhood killing a large part of the gang including "Joselo". The members who remained were the youth, which led the gang to refound, being led by Cabañas, until his death in 2003.

His best known event[edit]

It was in August 2001 when the sixth police station in Tres de Febrero was machine-gunned in revenge for the murder of Joselo (boss). There were 32 shots of nine millimeter caliber machine guns, possibly stolen from the police in one of the difficult incursions in search of the gang members who are lost in this true maze.
