Louis Ajonuma (born in 1963) is a Nigerian-born Physiologist and Scientist, a recipient of several International Awards including the Royan International Research Award in Reproductive Biomedicine & Stem Cell (Female Infertility), 2010.

Biography[edit]

Louis Ajonuma was born at Amakohia, Ihitte Etiti in Imo State, He received his early education in Nigeria then proceeded to and earned a Bachelor of Science Medical (BSc) from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak in 1985. then a Doctor of Medicine (MD), from the College of Medicine, Lyceum-Northwestern University in 1990. afterwards a Master of Medical Science (MMedSc) in Obstetrics & Gynecology from Queen Mary's Hospital, The University of Hong Kong in 2002. then a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physiology, from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004. was granted a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong between 2004–2007. He served as a Research Assistant Professor with The University of Hong Kong between 2007–2009. and currently a Director and Chief Research Officer of Geniuscom International.

Listed on the 2006-2010 editions of Who’s Who in Medicine & Health Care Listed on the Who's Who in Asia, 2006. Travel Fellowship of Center for Developmental Biology Riken, Japan, 2006. the JSPS / KOSEF International Vaccine Institute Award, 2004. Postdoctoral Fellowship Award,The Chinese University, 2004–2007. Postdoctoral Fellowship,Division of Public Health and Epidemiology, Institute of Biomedical Sciences (IBMS) Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, 1993–1994. 2011 Distinguished Alumni Award in Research & Health Services from the Lyceum Northwestern University, The Philippines.
