Louise Germaine
Tina Louise Germaine (born 1971, in Margate, Kent) is an English actress and model best known for her appearance as usherette Sylvia Berry in the 1993 Dennis Potter serial Lipstick on Your Collar. She played chambermaid Kate Hargreaves in the six-part 1994 comedy House Of Windsor.[1]
Life and career
Germaine's father, David, left her mother, Yvonne, and two elder brothers, Ian and Mark, before she was born.[2] At school she was nicknamed "Tin Ribs" because she was so skinny.[3] On the shores of Loch Lomond in Scotland on 14 February 1994 she married[4] hairdresser Lea Carter (b. 1964) by whom she has a daughter, Daisy Louise (b. May 1995). "He's my brother's best friend, so I've known him for years," she said.[5] Germaine is said to have inspired Potter's final script, Karaoke, but her pregnancy prevented her from being cast in the production.[6]
