LoveLump
The LoveLump was an Internet hoax perpetrated by digital artist Atmospheric Henry Ross. It is considered a hoax of exposure.
Ross created a fictional company, Erotech Industries, which claimed to have developed a bio-engineered sex toy, combining male and female genitals, breasts, and buttocks in a compact package. The website won a MemeFest Award[1] in 2003. An online mirror of the original site[2] can be found at the artist's website.[3] In 2004, it was featured on the weblog for The Museum of Hoaxes in San Diego, California.[4]
The LoveLump was allegedly created using a combination of animal and vegetable DNA, thus creating the first ever living tissue sex toy. The hoax website stated that it had to be injected with nutrients in order to keep it alive, and it had a stated life span of 5–7 years.
