"Love Has the Power" is a song by the American band Toto. It was the debut single from their first greatest hits compilation album Past to Present 1977–1990. The track marked the first recording to feature lead vocalist Jean-Michel Byron, who joined the band during 1989. The single peaked at #22 on the Dutch Single Top 100 chart. The track features an extensive choir providing backing vocals during the chorus. The song, together with "Can You Hear What I'm Saying" is dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr.[1]
