The Love Sux Tour is the upcoming seventh concert tour by Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne in support of her seventh studio album, Love Sux (2022). It is scheduled to began on May 3, 2022, in Moncton, Canada, and end on May 10, 2023, in London, England; comprising thirty-nine shows.

Background[edit]

In 2019, after a five-year hiatus caused by Lyme disease, Lavigne embarked on the Head Above Water Tour, in support of her sixth studio album, Head Above Water. The tour began on September 14 in Seattle, Washington, and was scheduled to visit Asia and Europe in 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several dates were postponed, until it was ultimately canceled.[1]

On November 26, 2021, Lavigne announced the "Bite Me Tour", which would visit her home country of Canada in 2022.[2] The European leg of the Head Above Water was moved to 2022 also, officially starting the tour on February 26, 2022, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.[3][4][5][6][7][8] One dollar from the proceeds for each ticket is donated to the Avril Lavigne Foundation.[9] Later, the tour was renamed Love Sux Tour, after Lavigne's upcoming seventh album. Lavigne was announced to play at several festivals in the United States and Brazil.[10][11] Musicians grandson and Mod Sun would serve as the opening acts for Canadian dates.

On February 7, 2022, the entire European leg was postponed to 2023, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe.[12] It is unknown at the time if Lavigne will reschedule the Asian leg for this tour.
