Luang Pho Yai (Thai: หลวงพ่อใหญ่) was a Thai Buddhist monk who passed away on April 8th 2022. Not to be confused with "Luang Pho Daeng - Mummified Monk". A very similar name, who had passed away in 1973 while also meditating.
Early life[edit]
Luang was born sometime within 1912, the exact date is unknown publicly. Very little details exist regarding Luang's early life. His granddaughter's TikTok account post's consistent content regarding Luang. Due to this unfortunate barricade, the most up to date information regarding Luang can be found below.

Later life[edit]
With the above mentioned, there is no documentation of Luang's later life, however there is likely details to some degree on Luang's granddaughters TikTok account (linked above).
Death[edit]
After Luang's long life, he passed away on April 8th, 2022, presumably with his granddaughter in his presence or close by. The current understanding is Luang's attendance at a care facility. The sheer care for his granddaughter is very visibly present.
Misconception(s)[edit]
A very common misconception about Luang was his age. Many have been told his age was between 168-200+ years. This is not. There are two main reasons for this: the state of Luang's body, which was then shared by online trolls, who modified the details for many others to stumble across.
