LucasGame Studios, is an American software development studio, that specializes in creating video games. The company is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina and was established in 2012[1] with the goal of creating and publishing video games.[2] [1] The company was started by Luke Japaridze while he was in middle school and was later joined by David Kubala in their junior year of high school.[2]
The studio's first title, Corona MotorSport, was released on 13 March 2014 on Steam Early Access and received mixed reviews upon its release.[3][4] The title is set to exit out of Steam's Early Access program and relaunch as a completed game by the end of summer 2018[3]
The studio's second title, Genesis, was released on 30 May 2017 as a concept on Steam Greenlight and received mostly positive feedback from users on the platform upon its introduction.[5] The concept was greenlit by the Steam community on 13 June 2017 after a brief 14 day campaign.[5] Development of Genesis was put on hold due to a lack of funding and the tech demo originally created as a proof-of-concept for a Kickstarter campaign was published on Itch.io[6]
