Lucca Allen (born 22 June 2002 in Cork), is a Irish racing driver.[1] Lucca Allen Website Allen currently competes in Super Formula Lights with ALBIREX Racing. Lucca is the son of famous Irish Chef Rachel Allen.
Career[edit]
Karting[edit]
Allen started karting at the age of 9. He quickly proved his speed competing for Ireland in the Karting World Championship in 2014 competing against well known racers such as Enaam Ahmed and Mick Schumacher. Allen again raced for Ireland in the Karting World Championship in 2016
Formula 4[edit]
Allen joined the British F4 Championship in 2017 partaking in 5 rounds that year. He failed to score a point with a best finish of 11th twice.
2018 saw Allen once again compete in British F4 full time picking up 29 points and finishing 14th in the Championship
2018 also saw Allen compete in the final 2 rounds of Formula 4 South East Asia at Sepang picking up a 2nd place. Allen committed to the championship full time in 2019 competing. A very successful season saw him claim 12 wins and the championship beating Elias Seppänen to the crown by 2 points
Super Formula Lights[edit]
Lucca Allen was supposed to drive for ALBIREX Racing in the 2020 Super Formula Lights season but due to the Covid-19 pandemic Allen missed the first round of the championship at Twin Ring Motegi.
Personal Life[edit]
Allen is the son of famous Irish Chef Rachel Allen. Born in Ballymaloe he grew up taking an interest in racing through his dad who would frequently watch Formula 1 with Lucca. He attends a boarding school in Newtown, Waterford.[2]
