Lucian Fernando
Lucian Fernando (born 21 October) is a British politician serving as the councillor for Hastings Silverhill constituency since the 2021 local elections. He is a member of the Conservative Party, an activist and a campaigner.
He is the first British Asian Conservative Party Borough councillor in Hastings.
Prior to his election as a Councillor, Fernando was an instructor in British Army Cadet Force.
He also served in Metropolitan Police Service as a PSV.[1][2]
Political Career
Councillor
At the 2021 Local election, Fernando was selected to stand as the Conservative candidate for Hastings Silverhill constituency.
Fernando was elected as Councillor for Hastings Silverhill on 6 May 2021 with 682 votes (43%) and a majority of 70 votes.[3]
After being elected as a Borough Councillor, he has been appointed to Licensing Committee, Licensing sub Committee, Museum Committee and Overview and Scrutiny Committee.[4]
Personal life
Fernando is born to a Roman Catholic family.
Prior to entering politics, Fernando studied at a city university in London.
